@Going Bald
I have similar hardware, can not get wake up from sleep working, had problems with shut down since 10.12.x and still on 10.13...so I did edit DSDT and now shoutdown works fine.

Maybe you can upload your DSDT in case you did some fix in there ?

I tried the toleda audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command but got no audio working. I still use stereo USB soundcard but would like to have onboard digital output working.

Thank you !

Now I got my audio working again (dig. out too!!!!) with the toleda script.
But no luck with wake from sleep, guess it's graphics card with DP cable.

Updated from 10.13 with supplemental update to 10.13.1 via the App Store Updates. Update went without a hitch and so far everything seems to be working well. Edited the config.plist to remove Clover audio patches and ran toleda's script again - audio is back and working. Posting from the old beast right now.

EDIT: Even though it seemed to work just fine without it, I went ahead and updated apfs.efi in Clover with the version included in 10.13.1.

Hello,

I've been a reading all the posts in order to prepare for creating my hackintosh. I have an X58 motherboard like you (not sure on the type I will have to look into that later) with an older Nvidia GTX graphics card and I would like to put High Sierra on it. If possible I would like to keep my Windows 10 install which is on a separate hard drive and be able to boot from either one. Are these general steps correct?

- Install Snow Leopard with iboot and multibeast
- Upgrade to Lion (El Capitan?) to access the app store and get High Sierra
- Download and install High Sierra from the app store using unibeast (is 8.0.0 the latest one?)
- Do post installation with multibeast

I think I understand all these steps, but there are other things I'm reading that I don't quite understand like DSDT and PLIST files (these sound like configuration files of some sort). Will the above steps get me to a bootable OS or do I need to do tweaks to these configuration files? From what I've been reading in the forums there are certain patches you need to run to make it not crash on start up like deleting the AppleTyMCEDDriver.kext and something about a Non-ECC memory patch. Then you need to make the OS think your computer is a MacPro6,1 rather than a 5,1 and then change it back after the installation?

I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but this is all new to me and I would like to get it right the first time if possible.
