Succes!! StormTrooper Build - GA-Z77-DS3H/i7-3770K/HD6870

It goes to sleep as you would expect. But waking up does not do the job right.
Maybe it is because of the AMD card I'm using. I used Tonymac's example, but replaced the card with the AMD version. Tonymac used a nVidia. And if you are going to install ML, please use one of the nVidia cards mentioned in the Customac build advice.

Is that the only issue with your build? I looked into 560 ti and read that they have their own issues?

Also heard of fermi sleep issues. Seems like there are no midrange cards that work 100% oob? Maybe the gtx 650, 660 will do the job but they aren't going to come until sept/oct

The sleep is an issue with my build. And the USB3 does not recognize USB2 devices. I did not test USB3 devices.

@mgkrp: The Sleep kext screwed up my system. Don't use it.
@Nikki51: Thanks for noticing. I've changed it to the right link now.

Sorry about that, I think the reason why it doesn't sleep is because of your graphic card

there was a link error but corrected already by the TS.

My question is if it is the "D3H" will a hack will not work?

So I've update my rig to ML. Here's what I did.

Buy and download ML from the AppStore.
Create a unibeast USB stick.
Move the ATI6000Controller.kext from /System/Library/Extensions to the root of the USB.

Make a backup from your system using carbon copy cloner or others tools that can make a complete backup of you harddrive.

Reboot and go into the BIOS.
Go to the advanced setup screen.
Go to Peripherals Set the option Init Display First to IGFX
Set the option Internal Graphics to Enable (Auto did not work for me)
Leave Internal Graphics Memory Size on 64
Save and Exit

Turn off computer
Connect monitor cable to onboard video.

Boot from USB
I did a clean install

Reboot from USB again (still connected to onboard)
Run Multibeast 5

Move the ATI6000Controller.kext form the root of the USB to your desktop.
Use Kextbeast to install the ATI6000Controller.kext in /System/Library/Extensions.
Reboot and go into the BIOS
Set the option back the default:
Init Display First to Auto
Internal Graphics to Auto
Save and Exit

Turn off computer and connect monitor cable to graphics card.
Reboot
Update to 10.8.1 without extra steps to be taken. No need to re-run multibeast.

Done.

Note that the ATI6000Controller.kext is not visible in normal operation of osx or the directories that it's in. To make it visible use this.
If you are still experiencing problems, pull out the AMD card.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO fan is a silent fan and also a little bit better then the 212+ version. Unfortunately it is close to the memory bank that is closest to the CPU socket, so you need to use Low Profile dimms.

Are you sure Hyper 212 EVO will not fit with High Profile dimms? I have the same mobo and 4 Corsair Vengeance DDR3 modules http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E0ZKOI/
and i'm going to buy this cpu cooler.

Thanks
