Why did you use the system definition of MacBookPro8,1?

Why did you use the system definition of MacBookPro8,1?

I need to upload new screen shots for that build. I now use the iMac 12,2.

few questions!
1,Will HWmonitor and fake plugins work?
2,Will the sound work like as good as dsdt configuration (will you be able to have dolby and dts trough optical ? )
3,Does it solve the Stepping problems do we still need ssdt? wich pstates do you have?

thanks E.

Follow up question, why use anything other than 3,2?

1) I'll test
2) Yes my Denon 1912 gets a Dolby 5.1 signal
3) Still need an SSDT. I don't remember off the top of my head. It's more than two. Something around 6?

Follow up question, why use anything other than 3,2?

Airplay :D

Great guide! I'm having trouble, though, updating the BIOS to U1h. If I try to do it through the boot menu, it says the file is invalid. I slapped a copy of Win7 on the system and tried to use gigabyte's @bios tool, but it also failed.
Sent a ticket to gigabyte. Any thoughts?

I tried installing anyways, but it just hangs after install even using -v -x

Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3 F12 bios
Core i5 2500k
GTX 460
Corsair 128gb SSD
750w PSU

used the latest UNIBeast on a new flash drive.

Follow this guide:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/46707-ms-dos-bootable-flash-drive-create.html

then place the BIOS update files on that USB drive then boot from that drive.

You said your sleep works, that is great.
It works via power management and when you activate it via the menu?

Does your usb 3.0 work even after ejecting a usb device and trying to plug another in?

Why did you not use FakeSMC?

Why are you using MacbookPro definition rather than Mac Pro?

Thanks!

USB 3.0 does eject the drive but after plugging it back in it's fine.

Selecting UserDSDT also installs FakeSMC. (See page 3 of the MultiBeast Features document, which comes with MultiBeast, for the UserDSDT defaults.) I've replaced the MBP SMBIOS with the iMac 12,2 (MultiBeast Customization section > System Definition > iMac 12,2).
