Please enable this quirk if you're running Ventura 13.3 or newer and you have more than 16GB memory and your iGPU is enabled.

Some questions:
  • Are you able to turn WiFi on?
  • But it does not find any SSIDs?
  • Or it finds SSIDs, but cannot connect to any one of them?
  • Let’s also look at IOReg file (IORegistryExplorer -> File -> Save As…)
  • If config.plist -> Kernel contains any AirportItlwm… kexts, are they all disabled?
I cannot turn Wifi on as the switch button is grey. BUT if I open Airdrop then connections/disconnections happen every few secs.
IOReg attached.
Found two entries of AirportItlwm at kernel section which seem disabled (screenshot attached).

Based on a comparison of IOReg, let's comment-out or delete AAPL,slot-name from Device Properties as shown in the 2nd screenshot.

There was only "#AAPL,slot-name Internal@0,28,3/0,0" at OC Configurator. I deleted it. I did a restart and I didn't have internet. DisableIoMapperMapping was gone, so I just put it back. Restart, Ethernet is working but not WiFi and FCPX. Also to note that in IOReg IOPCIMSIMODE is still there.

@CaseySJ

Is there a guide to activating AMD RX 5700 XT? I just added it onto my machine with an already AMD Radeon RX 580 but seems in the Activity Monitor that AMD RX 5700 XT actually not working at all.

Which version of macOS are you running?

Is agdpmod=pikera included in boot arguments?

Alas we’ve exhausted nearly everything. At this point I would recommend doing a fresh installation of Ventura on a spare SSD using the same EFI folder. Then let’s see if WiFi connects and works.

This method has the benefit of removing the influence of all third-party apps and drivers.

I am still on BigSur
I’ve heard that RadeonBoost.kext will not work in Big Sur with 5700 XT. Are you using this kext?

Also, what is the exact GPU name stated in “About this Mac”?

On About this Mac it says

Radeon RX 580 8 GB

I never did the Radeon Boost and I dont see it here in my config.plist either.
