[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Do you have a faster disk? For example, are you able to install a SATA SSD in an external USB 3.x enclosure and check the speed?

A speed in the high 50s is still in the USB 2.0 speed range.

I have a Patriot 32GB USB-C flash disk (that supports USB 3.x). It gets over 100MB/s on those Thunderbolt ports.

That's a bummer. I have no other disk. Is there a way to check what version of the protocol is in use?
I'll try again with the original cable and a usb-c to usb-a adapter.

EDIT: Even lower using an adapter: Low 50s

But what about the Pixel 4? Would this work for the hard drive? https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br...cking_id=45474801-bf88-4d52-b6b0-b5349f2317f4

This is the drive I have. Only $10.99 on NewEgg and it actually gets to right about 200MB/s on read. It has USB-C on one side and Type A on the other.
Yes that cable should work.

Thank you man !

It did not work. I replaced the config.plist.

Does it need Bluetooth to be fixed ? I have FenviT-919
Moreover, could you give me some link or hint to find the Library/Extension folder ? (I can find Library but not extension :/)

Thank you

The folder is /Library/Extensions (with an "s" at the end). In Terminal:

$ cd /Library/Extensions
$ ls
ACS6x.kext
ATTOCelerityFC8.kext
ATTOExpressSASHBA2.kext
ATTOExpressSASRAID2.kext
AppleMobileDevice.kext
ArcMSR.kext
CalDigitHDProDrv.kext
EnergyDriver.kext
HighPointIOP.kext
HighPointRR.kext
PromiseSTEX.kext
SoftRAID.kext
fileprotector.kext

  • Is Bluetooth turned on? Have you tried connecting a Bluetooth device to make sure it works?
  • Is WiFi turned on?
  • Are you signed in to iCloud?

I think this might just be a crappy disk. I connected it with it's original cable to an USB-A 3.0 port on my hackintosh, and still the same speeds.

This is a WD Passport Ultra 2TB

As shown here, I don't have the Extensions Folder.

  • You are looking at your user Library folder instead of the system Library folder.
    • User library folder: /Users/<username>/Library
    • System library folder: /Library
Simply do this:
  • Finder --> Go --> Computer

  • Select Library
