@nightlite: Thanks for requesting! I will have a look at it tomorrow. Does it fix the speedstepping problems? New p-states or something?

ah, nah man, it doesn't. what you have is what I have so far (generated ssdt but no new p states yet).

here's some of the sections in the dsdt patch that my non-programmer brain could see lol....

# Intel 8 Series Fixes
#Gigabyte Haswell Additional Fixes
# Fix HDEF device for the Realtek ALC898 audio codec, edits thanks to Toleda
# Patches the Intel USB3 on Intel 8 Series chipsets to allow more power output

Well I'll have a look at it tomorrow anyways. At least the part about USB power should be better than without dsdt because during boot it is always complaining about this :)

I did a fresh install twice and same issue. I double check bios and everything is what it's supposed to be.

Now when I try multi beast it errors if I try to install any thing from the "customize" options (like verbose boot etc.)
When I first boot it is a text screen to choose boot drive not the graphical chimera screen.
I can boot with -x but it's only 64mb of gnu, I've attached a screen shot.

I made a post in the multibeast bug forum as well with my install logs.

EDIT: I fixed it macman advised I didn't use dsdt free settings I tried them and it booted, still have to use -x, so I searched around, disabling vt-d has allowed to me boot normally.

Hi klandathu,

ok, here comes my edited answer(at first I did not look into your thread because you didn't link it).
If I see it right you now have a clean install with multibeast installed and some installed kexts via multibeast.
What options did you choose and what exactly isn't working right now?
The problem with the graphics adapter only showing 64mb is a classical error after the installation, but should be fixed using multibeast.

I requested a dsdt patch for z87x-ud3h and it is now available if some people are into that. If you feel something might be missing re:dsdt, be sure to mention in that thread.

For me, I requested the patch to get the second monitor working flawlessly instead of half stretched out (my logic was that if the correct ports are addressed in a dsdt, it will resolve) but I'm don't have access to more than one monitor at the moment so can't test if a dsdt could fix it.

anyways, here's the link:

Hey nightlite !

That's great news cause I didn't know with my usb mouse was sometime disconnected for no reason :)

Can you explain exactly how to apply the patch ? I don't want to mess up my almost perfectly working os !
I don't really understand the explainations that are on the other thread...

Thanks by advance !

And by the way : I was able to dual boot freaking easily just by changing the timeout key in the chameleon plist to zero, so the boot menu open automatically, letting me the choice of the os I wanna boot each time, just perfect !

Hi, nice build! I've an almost identical system that I recently built and it works perfect. Will soon post a thread.
I wonder where you bought your bluetooth-dongle. I live in sweden and i/o-gear ins't available here.

Edit: Sorry, missed it at the first post!

I would recommend not bothering with the dsdt as it is right now to solve that particular issue (Just that particular issue). I'm also having some problems with mouse clicks / keyboard keys not registering so it seems the dsdt didnt solve that...im guessing it has something to do with inactivity timeout.....not sure...

As to how to apply the dsdt, follow this guide... (you will have to create your own because its always best)

1. Download Maciasl - http://sourceforge.net/projects/maciasl/files/latest/download?source=files
2. Add the Gigabyte Repository - http://i3.minus.com/iPtPbDv5SnEBO.png
3. Don;t close Preferences yet. Go to the IASL tab and select ACPI Version 5.0
4. Close preferences and restart Maciasl
5. In the Maciasl window, ensure it says "System DSDT" in the titlebar
6. Click the Patch button
7. Select the Z87X-UD3H patch from the sidebar and wait 3 seconds
8. Click Apply and then Close
9. CLick the Compile button
9. Save as "ACPI Machine Lanaguage Binary" and filename as DSDT.aml to your desktop (you might need to uncheck "Hide Extension"
10. Move DSDT.aml to \Extra\ and you're done.

I used the default no dsdt option plus your recommended plus 1080p and verbose boot.

Everything is working except the App Store and iMessage (couldn't get iMessage to work before though) as far as I can tell.

Hi Klandathu,

is your ethernet working? I had problems with the app store at first because only my wireless was working and the appstore needs the ethernet to bee the en0 for some reasons.

Last night I did another fresh Mavericks install, using the original Dasdf method and got the same graphics issue. I then added basic boot options which fixed the graphics but app store and iMessage still don't work. I am using wireless TP-Link PCI Express Wifi Adapter.

I tried this:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mac-softw...own-error-has-occurred-10-8-a.html#post463799
Didn't work, but network settings doesnt give me the option to add ethernet connection.

I tried the fileNVRAM modules method (old file and new file) and it didn't work.

I repaired permissions after each change as well.

I am going to try these after work:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/337-troubleshooting-imessage-login-issues/comments4.html
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mac-softw...n-error-has-occurred-10-8-a-2.html#post634962
http://www.computersnyou.com/28/201...-app-store-login-problem-solution-hackintosh/

I think it showed ethernet as en0 and wireless as en1, system info says "This computer does not appear to have any PCI Ethernet cards installed."
