Hey i followed your guide for the P8p67 deluxe build. Instead of an SSD i am using a 3tb drive.
I installed everything according to your guide (asside from the SSD kexts) in addition to setting the BIOS to your settings.

Once i reboot and try to run OSX, the boot hangs on "corecrypto.kext FIPS POST passed!"

I was wondering if you ever encountered this or if you know of a solution

Thanks

Hey jbartolozzi,

My guess is that the disk is to big, and an easy way to test that is with a smaller disk,
my biggest disk here is also a 3 tb, but thats in my iomega network disk.

Or maybe try to make a smaller partition (or google for it) ;)

Good luck and let us know how you get it working...

Hi there Hans,

Not sure, didn't have problems like that... try to use BIOS version 2103 like I have, it may solve your problem (hope so)
(and reset BIOS settings to default, or use my settings to try out)

Hi JBG

Awsome success u have.
Could you share all the files used for your , ML build ?
Appreciate :)

Thanks,
vin

Thunder,

are you using DSDT?
If so, can you post it?

If not, can you give me some tips on how to run my setup like yours without DSDT and with power management?

Does your 4.2ghz overclock run with proper P-states? This is the current issue with my ML install, i'd like to go to MAV and fix it. I tried to PM you, but I find the 50 post quote stupid and useless.

Please let us know what your actual setup is regarding software/hardware settings instead of device if it's not too much trouble.

Thank you!

I am also curious if anyone has got overclocking working on 10.9? I have 2 machines with same configuration except for the CPU (one is an i3, one is an i7 2600k overclocked, the i3 works perfectly but the overclocked gets P-State and AppleCPUPowerManagement kernel panics (even with 10.9 AppleCPUPowerManagement selected in MultiBeast). 10.8.1 worked perfectly with the overclock, but I may just disable it for now.
