Startup and Shutdown issues

I have looked over the forums and have yet to find a solution to my problem.
This build works great when it starts properly.

My problem is in both the startup and shutdown operations.

Startup:
About every other time turn on the computer it will get to the apple screen and then shut off the monitor but stay on.
Try turning the monitor off and on again, Nothing.
Try pushing all the buttons as if it were in sleep mode, Nothing.

Shutdown:
Normal shut down sequence. It shuts everything off except itself. Have to hold the power button to shut off.

Build:
yosemite - multibeast install
GA-Z97-D3H
i5 4460
16G DDR3
Seagate 1TB Desktop SSHD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 1024MB GDDR5

Try to boot with -f darkwake=0 then check Startup and Shutdown
