Z77X-UP5 TH Sleep/Shutdown not working Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Ok I got it working. It was shutting down ( I think) because hibernatemode was set to 1. I set it to 2 (sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 2). Now it sleeps without shutting down completely.

Cheers.

The correct Kernel Flag is "darkwake=0"

Delete sleepenabler.kext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

Run repair disk permissions using Disk Utility and restart.

I was having the same issue where the computer would immediately wake from sleep (start menu), and wouldn't go to sleep based on the energy saver preferences. After deleting the two kexts above and repairing disk permissions, it works perfectly. Thanks!!

Scratch that... problem is still there.

I am having this same error (same hardware but GPU is a 7950). I have tried all of the advice in this thread and it still just wakes up a few seconds after being put to sleep. If anyone has any ideas please PM me or reply!

i'm having the same problem too. shut down works, not sleep; it would boot back up when trying to sleep.

I think it could be because of my usb BT dongle (IO GEAR GBU521). Since the light on the dongle stay on even when shutdown. So once it sleep, the usb devices (BT dongle) would wake it back up right away.

i'll try the tip mentioned here.
