Build:
-Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x ATX Gaming 5 (rev 1.1)(compatible with 6th and 7th gen. intel processors)
-CPU: 7th Gen. Intel Core i7 4.2GHz 7700k
-RAM: Ballistix 2x8GB DDR4
-Drive: 850 Evo SSD 500GB
-PSU: Corsair CS650M
-GPU: EVGA GeForce ATX 1050 SC Gaming 2GB
-WiFi Card: Fenvi Desktop Wireless Card 2.4/5GHz draft 802.11n 300Mbps
Issue:
The graphics are running very glitchy. (Possibly related issue, the Wifi seems to be connected but no applications will connect, especially the App Store and Safari.)
Overview:
I am a first time builder. I recently installed the Sierra OS 10.12.6. I have recently solved another issue where I was not able to boot from my Sierra native SSD. A forum discuss an issue with iTunes and needing to have a dedicated graphics card. So I changed the display in my BIOS setting to use the GPU and disabled the integrated graphics. I was then able to get boot, login and get to the desktop.
However, I have two new problems. The one I am hoping to solve on this thread is that the graphics are running very glitchy. I have not been able to upload any drivers since there is no internet. It's possibly due to the HDMI 2.0b from the graphics card going into a HDMI 1.3 display, but that does not feel like the problem. Steps taken:
-I have installed the Nvidia Web Driver.
-The NVidiaWeb box is checked in the config.plist.
-Argument "nvda_drv=1" is NOT checked
-Have NOT TRIED installing the Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext to /Library/Extensions as the issue seemed unrelated (Could be wrong)
The other issue is that the applications are not connecting to the Wifi, though the computer seems to be connected to WiFi.
Question:
What can I do to make the graphics run smoothly?
