Hello everyone.

I am trying to install macos sierra on my dell inspiron 15 7559 laptop and I am following the guides below:
- guide 1
- guide 2

I am able to successfully launch the setup. The only problem I am facing right now is that the setup cannot detect my HDD. It just shows my clover bootable usb and that's it. So far I have tried the following things:
- setting the SATA mode to AHCI
- creating an exFat partition from windows boot
- enabling Pheriperial Device Setting (OPROM Setting)

But none of the above has worked. Please help me continue this process.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

Why isn't the tutorial you mentioned using unibeast to make the bootable usb?

I fixed the issue by adding the 'SATA 100 unsupported' kext. It was a random move. Still don't know how to identify my SATA version.

I ran MultiBeast and under quick start selected UEFI mode. Under drivers, network, chose RealtekRTL8111. Under customize, graphics, chose Intel HD 530. Under customize, system definitions, chose MacBook Pro 11,2. Choose build and install on OS X drive and after the installation when I rebooted, I get a prohibited sign and the verbose also goes all gibberish like below. I can't even boot into the installed macOS from the USB clover. Please help.

Unibeast and Multibeast are not recommended for laptops.
You probably forgot to install SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext.

Thanks for your reply. When I place the modified SSDTs in Clover/acpi/patched, the screen goes black as soon as I launch the macOS drive from clover boot menu. It does that even with the verbose turned on. Please help.
