[SOLVED] Boot macOS Install not showing up

Status
Not open for further replies.
I did not forget APFS.efi, and my hack is not messed up, it is running quite well actually, but I'm on 10.12.2 since February, and I need to update to use Xcode 9, it works on 10.12.6 but c'mon, here we GO ALL or GO HOME, but I actually found my patched AML files, it was on a folder on the desktop named 'desktop', go figure, however I think I'll go with a fresh install and restore the backup from the image I made from my drive if you don have any other ideas of why is this happening.

You know what I think, I Belive my problem here is that, the High Sierra updater App, is just mounting a virtual image and telling the firmware where it is, instead of making a literal bootable installer partition, because I use a very recent SMBIOS, maybe a older one might have different effects. Do you think this is a possibility or Am I out of my mind?

This guy here on that thread managed to link me to a solution mr Rehabman, It worked like a charm, I'm now on 10.12 =)
However a lot of damaged needs to be corrected, namely, sound, brightness and GPU acceleration, gotta work on that now, thanks a lot as always man.

Probably because you were using VboxHFS-64.efi instead of HFSPlus.efi.
See guide:

I don't even have the VboxHFS-64.efi file man, I built this hack from the ground up reading your guides haha, I think I got mostly everything right, only thing I Slacked on was the installer, I belive I used Unibeast back then, but I can't remember for sure.

Anyway now im trying to get my GPU working, but im getting Kernel Panics, I Updated my Patches to the ones of this plist file from your Repo

https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/config_HD5300_5500_6000.plist

and removed the old ones, can you point me to the right direction please? what could be causing this? Would my old IntelBacklight.kext can be the source of the issue? or maybe the Brightness Patch on my DSDT?

Im attaching the Standard Debug files you use to ask.

I don't even have the VboxHFS-64.efi file man,

Maybe something has changed in CoreStorage on 10.13 that requires a new HFSPlus.efi.
Certainly is possible.

drivers64UEFI is wrong.
OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi and OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi are mutually exclusive. Use only one or the other.

ACPI/origin is too old to compare against ACPI/patched (you forgot to press F4).
No photo of the panic provided.
Please read "Problem Reporting" carefully.

Note that if DVMT-prealloc is not set to 64mb+, you must use an invalid ig-platform-id, rebuild cache, then reboot. Clover can patch kexts only if they are in kernel cache.

Wow, so I was with my phone ready to take a pic of the Kernel panic but it is working now, I deleted the IntelBacklight.kext, and rebuilt the cache, and the Graphics now works!, whats is even odd, the brightness slider still works! Is that normal? wouldn't I need to make your new procedure in order to get that working? Is it still necessary?

I'm Attaching my current Clover Folder, I updated the ACPI With F4 as per request.

I'll end it here, if I have any further problems ill create a new thread.
