It is because you have patched your DSDT with Brightness Fix. If you open your DSDT.aml from /patched, you'll see that a PNLF object is already there.

Oh yeah, i forgot about that, But i thought it would only work in conjunction with the IntelBacklight.kext, do i have to remove this DSDT patch in order to apply the new Method?

Yes. IntelBacklight.kext enables smooth transitions but sadly, that broke since 10.12.4. You must use the new method.
