Hi guys! I had made a guide for reproducing my success on this Lenovo Thinkpad L420:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/320306-guide-lenovo-thinkpad-l420-with-el-capitan/

It worked quite well but after upgrading to Sierra I have an issue...

Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 11.59.15.png

Native CPU and GPU PM are fine, HDMI audio is fine, Shutdown and Reboot are fine, only thing is Sleep which stopped working..
I followed the steps described in the guide for my DSDT and SSDTs but here are the "Problem Reporting" files in case you can help me debug this issue..... The screen stays black and the computer totally unresponsive after sleep and i have to force shutdown and start again.

Code:

Thanks in advance

No files in ACPI/origin.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting"
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/

Obvious problems from ioreg:
- backlight control not implemented correctly
- USB not implemented correctly
- ACPI not patched correctly

Here are the dumped tables.. Sorry i forgot that
origin.zip
Maybe you could bring me closer to the right way to patch the ACPI tables? I have been trying my best really to learn
I have fitted a Renesas ExpressCard USB 3.0 so GenericUSBXHCI makes it work
I would love some guidance mate

See guide(s) linked from the FAQ.
Based on ACPI/origin, you should have in ACPI/patched:
DSDT.aml
SSDT.aml (ssdtPRgen.sh)
SSDT-0.aml
SSDT-1.aml
And when you implement backlight control:
SSDT-PNLF.aml

Don't forget about correct settings in config.plist for SortedOrder and DropOem.

Well after implementing this new way of Brightness control my screen turns black 2 seconds into the boot process although everything seems to boot right up . Brightness keys are doing nothing.. i will try to attach a Vga or Hdmi see if all is working
Edit: Computer is now sleeping and waking properly and te screen came alive after sleep

Backlight control is working with the keys ... i am gonna test what is this black screen at boot thing

Duly noted, the problem was because of 'SetIntelBacklight' option
All perfect now, sleep and brightness and USB I am as happy as I can be with this Sierra Lenovo Laptop :D
Thanks for the help
