Hello,
as per title my HDMI external monitor (DELL U2515H) does not work with Sierra and High Sierra when I hotplug it. However, with El Capitan it does work.
I am using IntelGraphicsFixup.kext and Lilu.kext.
I tried also with AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy (board-id) Patch (c) Pike R. Alpha
I also tried with 10.11-SKL-1926000-Port_0x5-DP2HDM and 10.11-SKL-1920000-Port_0x6-DP2HDM
In the end I tried also AGDPfix with no luck.
I determined that the Port is 0x06 by plugging the monitor on boot, when I do so, the internal monitor does not work and it works just the external monitor.

It's similar to:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/31056245?start=90&tstart=0

I also installed this driver http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos but with no luck.

Thank you very much.

I tried some instructions provided by @toleda
I have removed VoodooHDA which required AppleHDAisabler also.
Ran: audio_codecdetect_v2.3.command, therefore I downloaded: ssdt_hdef-3-100-hdas and used inject 1 in Devices/audio in config.plist.
I have installed also AppleALC from here https://github.com/vit9696/AppleALC/

Hello,
I did as you said and I have also used 3 as inject parameter, now it works.
The codec is ALC255, and, as per @toleda instructions, the parameter is 3.

Thank you.

Marked solved.

Note: layout-id is actually an arbitrary choice by the person patching AppleHDA. But 3 is a very common choice. My ACPI patching guide explains how to determine from the patched AppleHDA components which id was used.
