Hi All,

I have been using my hack okay for months and when I upgraded to Mojave I upgraded also the kexts and the configs from @RehabMan repo on github. For weeks it's been running smoothly so I decided to move on and delete old setup files and only now I noticed that sleep is not working (and I have no backup of old files to restore). It wakes up immediately when the laptop enters sleep. So in short my hack cannot sleep now. I have attached the collected reporting data. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Another question is when I'm using the latest config from @RehabMan which used pci properties to inject ig-platform-id agraphics card info shows Intel Iris Intel Iris Graphics 610, is this normal?

Hi @RehabMan where can i find the kernel logs? I cannot find it in /var/log/kernel.log however, I can see this message in the System log:

Code:

I have tried to do this one:

log stream --predicate "processID == 0" --level debug >> /tmp/kernel.log
then I get the logs with "wake" keyword and below is the result:

Note that I have wake for network and enable powernap disabled.

Hope you can look into this. Also attached the collected kernel log. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have updated my hotpatch. I patched the GPRW and UPRW since they are both existing in my DSDT. GPRW and UPRW methods are now patched and SSDT patches were working but issue still exist as of testing now, kindly see attached report file and snippet of patched dsdt on the fly:

XPRW (UPRW Originally):
Code:
        Method (XPRW, 0, NotSerialized)
        {
            Store (GENS (0x18, One, Zero), Local0)
            Return (Local0)
        }

ZPRW (GPRW Originally):
Code:
        Method (ZPRW, 2, NotSerialized)
        {
            Store (Arg0, Index (PRWP, Zero))
            Store (ShiftLeft (SS1, One), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS2, 0x02), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS3, 0x03), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS4, 0x04), Local0)
            If (And (ShiftLeft (One, Arg1), Local0))
            {
                Store (Arg1, Index (PRWP, One))
            }
            Else
            {
                ShiftRight (Local0, One, Local0)
                FindSetLeftBit (Local0, Index (PRWP, One))
            }

            Return (PRWP)
        }

XPRW (UPRW Originally):
Code:

        {
            Store (GENS (0x18, One, Zero), Local0)

        }

You should not be patching that method like you are.
You can't base this stuff just off method name.
It does not return a _PRW package (you should review code before trying to patch it). It returns an integer. Analyze the code carefully.

ZPRW (GPRW Originally):
Code:
        Method (ZPRW, 2, NotSerialized)
        {
            Store (Arg0, Index (PRWP, Zero))
            Store (ShiftLeft (SS1, One), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS2, 0x02), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS3, 0x03), Local0)
            Or (Local0, ShiftLeft (SS4, 0x04), Local0)
            If (And (ShiftLeft (One, Arg1), Local0))
            {
                Store (Arg1, Index (PRWP, One))
            }
            Else
            {
                ShiftRight (Local0, One, Local0)
                FindSetLeftBit (Local0, Index (PRWP, One))
            }

            Return (PRWP)
        }

That GPRW does return a _PRW package and can be subject to patching.
But note that not all of your _PRW methods use GPRW.
Some have their own custom code (ex. EHC2._PRW, XHC._PRW, etc), which must be patched separately.
Do static patch first, then address the same with hotpatch.
