hello,
to make your standby work correctly, you must disconnect the tb-header cable from your thunderbolt card which goes to the motherboard.
Sleeping will work but when waking up you will lose the thunderbolt connection, except maybe with flashed firmware on the thunderbolt card but I haven't tried
