Should I use Clover or Multibeast or Chameleon?
I actually have used both.
I started with Multibeast on a Mavericks install. Actually got everything working fine including iMessage.
Then I tried a Yosemite install using Clover. A bit more involved, longer learning curve, but IMO the better choice in the long run. I have everything working including handoff, iMessage, Facetime, Continuity, etc.
Where I have stumbled a bit is in getting the bootloaders configured properly. I use Super Duper to clone my SSD's and it took me a bit of time to be able to get the clone to boot properly while still maintaining my system identity for Apple's purposes so that everything would work including iMessage etc. I have now figured that out.
When putting your system together, don't underestime your cooling requirements, especially with a high end processor. I have the i7-4790K and I went with an underpowered cooler off the bat and had to replace it with a water cooler. Now I have nice low temps.
The other thing is to get the combo PCI wifi/BT card from OSXwifi. You won't be sorry. It enables handoff in Yosemite and quick access to USB when booting for your BT mouse and keyboard.
You might want to start with Unibeast/Multibeast, then move up to Clover.
Good Luck!
