I applied those changes but they didn't seem to help.

It's still not recognizing the cpu properly, and still no QE/CI.

Now it boots with ig-platform-id=0x0a260006 but it only shows 21MB VRAM.

Isn't the 4720HQ a quad core CPU with a base clock of 2.6ghz?

What's not being recognized?

That's correct.

I believe it's not being recognized because in kernel_log.txt it says: "Unsupported CPU" and "Unsupported PCH".

And also because right now I have to boot with cpus=1 or it's really really slow.

Also in Hackintool it shows "Intel Generation: ???" in several places.

:)

I think you now need to patch VRAM 2048MB.

Have a look in Hackintool under 'Patch' and then 'Advanced':

It didn't help :(

And I was wrong, with 0x0a260005 and 0x0a260006 it doesn't boot.

But I get distorted graphics with 0x0a2e0008 and all the mobile after that (from weg list). The mouse feels very smooth though, so that's promising.

I only have ig-platform-id and device-id in Devices/Properties.

with 0x0a260006 it doesn't boot.

Stick with this -> 0x0a260006

Clover gives you a hint from the ig-platform-id dropdown menu (under Haswell).

Go to Fake ID in Clover Configurator and insert 0x04128086 in IntelGFX:

Remove any graphics boot flags you may have added earlier.

If I try to patch 0x0a260006 to have the memory sizes like 0x0d260009, I get distorted graphics as well but the mouse movement is jerky, even worse than with the default framebuffer.

yes :( It doesn't seem to help with this system
