Did I do something wrong?

I do not know 0x67591002 support your GPU or not, previous png show 0x675d in System Information means that ID injection is failed, if now show 0x6759 but still no QE/CI means that injection is successfully but ID not supported by OS or ID not match GPU, try other device ID. If you are using old method FakeID ATI like 0x67591002 need check AddDTGP also FixDisplay in Clover/Acpi/Fixes, old method need AddDTGP set DTGP function to DSDT.

Did this new update solve the VEGA fan issue?

For me, the fan noise seems to vary. At times, it's nearly silent ,and other times, I can hear it slightly. But it still seems better than how it was with 10.13.3.

The only time I Have the fan kick in is I am doing anything in Adobe apps that use OpenCL like Media Encoder. But it's not that loud.

Seems like a AMD firmware issue.

I have seen folk say that it is much improved.

Well, I tested it. if I inject intel in order to use quick sync, VEGA's fan will spin at high speed all the time, even opening a youtube video on Safari won't change a thing. But if I remove injectintel, and open a video of YouTube fans will spin normally! the caveat is I have to keep Safari open all the time.
nah! to much trouble! I think for VEGA either I should use third-party fans or somehow control fans through the motherboard.

On the other hand, RX480/580 is super stable.

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with an R9 290 and the latest macOS update (10.13.4). In macOS 10.13.3, in order to set up my GPU, I had to add its deviceID (0x67B11002) to AMD8000 and X4000 controllers, install WhateverGreen, and all worked perfectly. Now I've a strange problem: GPU is recognized (AMD Radeon HD 8xxx, like in 13.3) and HDMI audio works, but I have no hardware acceleration, like no driver installed. I've tried ATIinjection, Framebuffer edit etc, but nothing works. Can you help me please? Thanks a lot!

Makes me wonder what is planned for these are Apple eGPU units. I've never seen such a thing in the wild so I guess there must be some sort of cooling built-in. Perhaps the variation you're experiencing is, in part, something to do with the proposed hardware configuration? I'd imagine there must be some kind of 'reference design' for third-party manufacturers to use... :)
