LOL i came here to find out if you got into yosemite as well. I am going back to my old bios setting as I can't even get back into the installer. #sadface.

Success installing Yosemite (clean install)!!!!!!!

GA-z97x-UD7 TH
Intel i7 3,7GHz 4770
16GB GSkill DDR3 RAM
256GB SSD Samsung Pro
1TB Caviar Black HDD
MSI GTX 760 2GB

Remove all disks (except the system one) all all the Ram modules except one.

Use -x parameter to enter both installer and the first Yosemite run.

If anyone has any problems I can post my BIOS settings.

Attention, I didn't install the board's audio because I have an external one!

Here's my Multibeast file.

Other remarks:

FakeSMC did get a freeze on my first attempt installing it, I reboot again with -x, and everything went smoothly. Installed also CUDA drivers, not sure if I should install the nvidia ones.... Everything is running pretty well.
By the way, I'm using Sweex external sound card, I was tired of losing sound on Mavericks so I didn't even tried in Yosemite!

Still testing iMessage and don't have a camera for FaceTime yet!

Cheers

Any question just ask! And Change the Title to [SUCCESS]

To install Yosemite, you have to use the latest version of UniBeast (v5.01 at this time/date).

all i can't get to show up is the thunderbolt ports but then i don't have anything to attach to it except my macbook pro so maybe they do work

all i did was

set was optimised defaults F7 and disabled vt-d (it boots in 20 secs if i disable thunderbolt as well)

i clean installed from unibeast 5.1

using

-v PCIRootUID=0

and Multibeast 7.0.1

something i noticed while trying various bios settings is that if i just let the bios reboot itself it doesn't always set what you think you set like for instance i got vt-d working and saved the profile and after i rebooted it it didn't work and never has since this also happened with the audio, one minute working then not with the same settings then i discovered if i powered the machine off each time everything worked as expected so maybe it gets the profile from who knows where, but something to note

Hi,

I'm brand new to this Hackintosh thing.
But not new to building custom computers.
So I'm taking the plunge to do a Hackintosh.
I've ordered all the parts last week, had them sent to my work, and put the computer together last Friday. I've only booted into the bios before I left for the weekend. But I can't wait to back to work on Monday and finish the job and get Yosemite installed and running.

Here's my build:
GA-Z97X-UD7 TH
i7-4790K
EVGA GeForce GTX770 - (02G-P4-2774-KR)
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Low Profile 16GB
Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB
Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i
Corsair Carbide Series Black 500R Mid Tower Computer Case

I'm hoping to follow ptvega's guide to get it running.
I also hope that I can get the Thunderbolt to work.
Been reading that alot of people have been having trouble.
That's the reason I bought the motherboard was for the Thunderbolt option.

I have a quick question, I've searched the site and can't find an answer to it.
How does one apply the .mb file?
I'm assuming I would click the "Load" button on the right side of the screen?

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Cheers,
Mhjeff
