After I successfully installed Mavericks, I added a few audio kexts and upon restart I received a screen full of error messages over the apple loading screen.

Do I have to do a completely new install from here or can I remove the kexts somehow without going through the whole ordeal again?

Thanks!

Is there some sort of SAFE MODE that I can boot in?

Thanks!

You can boot using -x (lowercase only) for safe mode. If you navigate to your System/Library/Extensions folder. Description of each kext is given in MultiBeast.
Right click each incorrect kext and select - move to trash.
Use Disk Utility to repair permissions before you try to reboot.

Thank you! It worked fine!

Now I have to figure out what kext to use for my audio... I've tried a few but every time, nothing works.

I got the front to work but not the back.

Should I try a Universal VoodooHDA kext instead of the Realtek ALCxxx kexts that I have already tried?

Here is my system:
Dell XPS 435T
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024MB
24GB 1064 MHz DDR3
OS X 10.9 (13A603)

The SOUND Driver: Realtek ALC888 HD Audio, v.6.0.1.5700, A00

Got it!

It was under Universal: VoodooHDA v2.7.3

Trial and error sometimes works!
