Possiblity of Using Clover for CPU Power Management

I have an ASUS P8Z77-V LE motherboard, which isn't one of the boards that get CPU Power Management in OS X by default. I've heard there is an alternate BIOS I can use, but I'm not able to install the BIOS. It seems my version has blocked the install of the one from the repository due to "bad security". I read a thread on here that says Clover will work for that. I currently have put off making a bootloader for my system because I want to be sure it gets installed right. The last part of getting my build fully functional is CPU Power Management. Sleep doesn't work as well, but I'm really not that worried about sleep. I barely use it anyways even on my Windows disk.

I patched my bios with FTK. I think it will work. In that case I'll just use Chimera as my boot loader. Do I need to investigate DSDTs next?
