Lately I have been craving another Hackintosh and I have been building them since the days of 10.5 with hit or miss luck. It was not until the introduction of Sandy Bridge that I had any real luck with getting everything working. Luckily once Tonymacx86 became popular it was my go to resource for build guides info. So after all the years of reading forum posts it is time to give back and create a build thread. I have chosen to post this build as sort of a mutation of Giacomoleopardo's build thread for mountain lion as I have noticed not many good guides for Mavericks exists on this motherboard. I will try to give credit to Giacomoleopardo whenever necessary and please remember that he has credited many other people in his build at http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-builds/97296-giacomoleopardos-gigabyte-ga-z77n-wifi-build-db.html. Thanks to him and the others reference in his thread I have a perfectly working Hackintosh on 10.9.2 and you can too!

To prevent copying lots of material from Giacomoleopardo's thread I will often refer to specific parts of his thread in my instructions.

Additional Required Software
MultiBeast 5.5.5 for Mountain Lion
Kext Wizard
Chameleon Wizard
MaciASL

Instructions
1.) Set UEFI as per Giacomoleopardo's thread (AHCI, Virtulization Disabled, Graphics set to 32M)
2.) Create UniBeast 10.9.2 Installation Drive using UniBeast and Mac App Store install.app
3.) Install 10.9.2 using the UniBeast USB drive you created in step 2
4.) Reboot system into freshly installed 10.9.2 using UniBeast flash drive once again (no kernel flags should be necessary)
5.) Using instructions in Giacomoleopardo's thread with MaciASL create patched DSDT.aml for GA-Z77N-WIFI and HD4000 HDMI Audio**
6.)With the DSDT.aml you created in the last step placed on the desktop run MultiBeast
7.) Install MultiBeast as per Giacomoleopardo's choices (User or DSDT-Free, Audio>Realtek>With DSDT>ALC892, Network>Realtek Lnx2Mac v0.0.9.0, Customization>Power Management Hibernate Mode>Desktop, Bootloaders>Chimera v2.2.1)
8.)Open /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist with TextEdit and change <string>darkwake=0</string> to <string>darkwake=10</string> and add

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1360x768x32</string>

to the end where 1360x768 is the proper resolution for your display.**

9.)Use Chameleon Wizard to create SMBios for MacMini6,2 and save
10.) Use KextWizard to repair all permissions
11.) Reboot
12.) Everything should be working now without any boot flags with working HDMI and ALC892 audio only issues are known problems with USB3.0-->USB2.0

This method was tried with much success after failing to get a working install using Multibeast 6 this should provide all features with little to no extra kexts and OOB WiFI if AR9280 or AR9380 is used

Please feel free to post any questions. Thanks again to Giacomoleopardo and all those that helped him with his original thread. I will update with more details and screens when I have more time or if requested.

**Creating a DSDT.aml file and editing org.chameleon.boot.plist can be avoided using the files contained in the attached extras folder archive

Tried it, didnt work. Probably because I have a nVidia Quadro 600.
Installing a Mavericks Hack OS on this motherboard is a pain in the @$$, that I have to admit.

I will probably install a Mountain Lion instead.

Thanks for the guide though, I thought I would surely succeed with this..
