I don't see anything in your EFI that cause problems. If your computer doesn't post, that's way before the EFI ever gets loaded anyway. I would look for a hardware issue.
Thanks for looking into it. I really appreciate your help
I think I need to explain again. When my computer is in sleep mode, it "wakes" up (what seems to be happening randomly) without posting to the screen. The fans start to spin (audible with the GPU + CPU + HD), and it is "on" for a few minutes, and then goes back to sleep again. Yesterday evening it did so 2 or 3 times within an hour, afterwards it did not wake up again for a few hours (and then I went to bed).
Outboard peripherals that could provoke a wake up is:
- an apple magic wireless keyboard (connected wireless via bluetooth USB dongle)
- a powered USB hub (with nothing connected)
- my wireless (proprietary Wacom USB dongle) Wacom tablet (which is turned off with a button, and only comes on when I manually turn it on).
I got 2 x m.2 disks (system + apps disk & temp work disk), 2 x SSD (archive + cloned backup of archive) 1 x FireCuda (2nd cloned backup of archive) hybrid HD drive in my setup.
At the moment I don't have any software installed that would start up that I'm aware of. My system has been doing this for as long as I can remember. Weird.
