pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi! Anyone know what is the display boot order for AMD video card?
I have a second display that I don't always use and I would like to have the boot screen (Clover) and the progress bar in the first display.

For Nvidia is: DVI -> HDMI -> Displayport
For AMD?

It was a while ago... But I think these were the settings I used...

Core Frequency: 1630MHz
Core Voltage: 1010mV @ P7
Memory Frequency: 900MHz (Be careful with this setting. Not all cards have memory that can clock well.)
Memory Voltage: 1250mV

Idle Speed: 800rpm
Target Speed: 3600rpm (I also tried 4900rpm here. I forgot which I ended up sticking with.)
Minimum Speed: 400rpm
Maximum Speed: 4900rpm

Target Temperature: 55C (50C also worked well for me.)

Hi @pastrychef

With VGTab I tried to increase the Memory Frequency from 900 to 920 MHz and I got a good score compared to before.

Power Limit: 50%

I've been testing it since this morning and it looks very stable.
The maximum temperature reached in all the tests is 74C

Do you know if there is an app that monitors the GPU, without having to use the terminal?

I only know how to monitor via Terminal...

Do you ever encounter random "boots" ie computer start up (fans start to spin, HD starts to spin and all light from internal hardware lights up) but the computer does not post to the screen, and after a while it shots down again. I did a clean Catalina test install last night (the same results), with only my Wacom tablet drivers and Dashlane installed besides the stock apple apps, so I should have no "phone home" apps trying to start the computer. Also Time Machine is not enabled. I never used it, as I use CCC. My computer just woke up, and went to sleep again after 5 min or so :banghead:

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance and have great weekend!

No, I have not encountered this... Have you tried clearing CMOS?

CMOS? The only CMOS I know of, is the sensor in my camera :) PRAM maybe?

Try the following:
Turn off computer.
Unplug power cable from power supply.
Short the following two pins.

How can I enable one of the internal usb2 headers (HS12)?
I need it for my Bluetooth card.
I use your latest opencore folder.
my custom SSDT-USB.aml seems to not work anymore...

Your SSDT-USB.aml should work fine. Just replace the one included with the EFI.

Youre right. Now it works. Weird.

Do you know what the error at boot means ?
