pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I'm now stuck in a AppleKeyStore bootloop. What exactly were the changes to the EFI?
That should help pinpoint the problematic kext

Enabled SIP.
Cleared config.plist > Graphics > ig-platform-id.
config.plist > Devices > Properties to spoof Kaby Lake IGPU.

As far as I know, High Sierra predates Coffee Lake so if you want to use IGPU, you have to spoof Kaby Lake IGPU.

Hi Pastrychef,

I've tried injecting these IDs (obviously each number 1 by 1) under Devices in config.plist
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 16, 21, 27, 28, 29, 34. I got these from acidanthera's GitHub page under ALC1220. In the Mojave setup this was ID 2.

When I plug the Hyperx headset into the front of the case (the headset goes into a splitter cable, one for ears, one for mic) Catalina detects them as headphones. Digital Out, Headphones and both Lineouts work.
Under Sound Preferences>Input, there is "Internal Microphone Built-in" but when I bark into the mic there is no response in the Input level bars.

When I plug the same headset into my 2012 MB Pro (without the splitter cable) Under Sound Preferences>Input,
Internal Microphone Built-in changes to "External Microphone Microphone port" and when I bark into the microphone there is a response.

Thanks in advance

Thank you very much layout id 07000000 gave my headset functionality front and back of my case, with digital out. Catalina is now working great!

Error was the SIP. Set it to 0x3 and now it works! iGPU and Quicksync are detected and working

Thank you!

That means that you have kexts installed in /Library/Extensions/. Move (not copy) those hackintosh kexts back to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ and re-enable SIP.

How is that possible? I did not put anything in there.
I got my post-install working by simply dragging the new EFI into my EFI partition

The only reason that disabling SIP will get things working is if you have hackintosh kexts installed in /Library/Extensions/ or /System/Library/Extensions/.

If you only have hackintosh kexts in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/, enabling SIP should make no difference.

Pastrychef...Any idea why I have no sleep lately? Thx

These are your problem.

Launch Activity Monitor and search for PID 319 to find what's causing it.

Do you ever encounter your USB connections acting up? When I plug in a mouse, HD, Wacom tablet or similar, all USB devices attached stalls a 8-10 seconds, before reacting again. I use you EFI folder. Would Opencore be better than Clover? :problem:

Thanks!
