OS X 10.11.6 Update

My Transcend Card Reader USB 3.0 cannot detected after I update to 10.11.6.
Gigabyte Z170n wifi.

Today Apple released 10.11.6, the sixth (and final?) major update to OS X El Capitan. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the Mac App Store, or by using the standalone installer available from Apple.com.

Download the OS X 10.11.6 Combo Update​

Be sure to back up any important data, and if possible clone your hard drive before applying the update. If you have any issues post-update, boot using UniBeast created USB, press spacebar, and boot using Safe Mode.

What we know about 10.11.6 so far...

• OS X Build 15G31
• Kernel updated to Darwin 15.6.0
• Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
  • NVIDIA Alternate Graphics Drivers have been updated for 10.11.6 here.
• This update will replace your audio drivers. If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast or the CloverALC110 script, no changes will be necessary.
• Install OS X El Capitan App Updated - If you downloaded El Capitan from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated 10.11.6 Install OS X El Capitan App can be found in the Applications folder. You may then re-create your UniBeast installation USB.

Not booting after update, tried to disable the nvida by nv_disable=1 still not booting any help ?

Finder is pretty buggy. Every time is seems I have chrome open and I want to try right-clicking on the desktop, I get the beach ball.

Did you ever get your buggy finder worked out? I am experiencing the finder acting buggy as well after my update to 10.11.6. Beach balling, mouse lagging, force quit of finder does nothing but make desktop icons disappear.

I updated to 10.11.6 and now can't boot. I am a newbie to osx86 and did my El Capitan install one year ago following the guides here.

Would be *very* thankful for pointing me to some guide on how to solve this...

I didn't prepare anything, just did an update from the apple store.

When booting, I get stuck on the forbidden logo.

I was able to successfully boot from the clover on the usb pen I used to install El Capitan.

I see Apple has created/updated?! the "EFI/APPLE" directory. (I use a dual boot Win10 + El Capitan)

What should I do to the EFI boot? Should I run what to fix it?
Should I update Clover? How do I do that?

When I loaded OSX I noticed I lost WIFI and sound and other stuff.
May I run KextBeast? Should I update it? Should I update the .kext also?

I see Apple has created/updated?! the "EFI/APPLE" directory. (I use a dual boot Win10 + El Capitan)

$ sudo nvram -c

Delete APPLE folder in /EFI/

OK, try using OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi (/EFI/ClOVER/drivers64UEFI folder). Also updating to latest Clover version might help.
