Installed the update from the app store. OS X won't boot. I've tried safe mode and booting without kext cache and it just holds on a black screen after the Apple logo. Then I removed nvda_drv=1 and added nv_disable=1 and it shows a spinning wheel (like when you turn off an iPhone) on a black screen and eventually freezes.
Asus P9X79-E WS, 4930K, and Titan graphics card
Updated from 10.11.0
EDIT: Fixed it by manually removing all Nvidia "...Web" kexts from SLE in single user mode. Even with nv_disable=1 and removing NVDA_drv=1 from the boot arguments it must have still been loading those kexts.
The update went fine here. I didn't even need to reinstall the audio driver. I'll see when MS Office 2016 updates if the MS Office 2016 problem is fixed. Adobe Photoshop still crashes but that should also be fixed with an update.
Software Update was successful but it did squash my VoodooHDA-2.8.8 driver.
When trying to reinstall the driver it said the VoodooHDA-2.8.8 driver was not supported on this version. It still let you try anyway and I did but then received Kext Error. I used Kext Utility to repair and things seem ok but no Sound driver. Restarted machine and still no Sound, still greyed out. Rebooted with USB stick, started Machine OS and installed VoodooHDA-2.8.8 with no issues. Sound was back immediately. Restarted machine without USB stick and sound appears to be working fine.
One other note, I had to originally install the VoodooHDA-2.8.8 driver prior to enabling the partition to be bootable. On my old rig that means I had to use fdisk440 to make my partition bootable. If you try installing the Sound driver after you make your partition bootable I received the same error that the driver is not compatible and I could not get sound to work.
