Ciao
i updated my acer 5750G (i7, GT 540M, 6GB RAM) to 10.10.4 and all seem works fine. The unique issue i noticed is the battery icon is missed and if i ask to show it, setting the related flag on the system preference, it doesn't appear. Any suggestions?

Also for the microfono is not possible to set the input level!

Many thanks for you attention.

Success & painless update through App Store 10.3>10.4

I4690K
Integrated HD 4600
Clover Eufi Install
External USB soundcard

Followed Stork's advice>repaired permissions before & after.
Whole process took less then 20 mins.
All good.

Thanks to all mods, members & this wonderful community !

Updated from 10.10.2 to 10.10.4 via the app store. Didn't even try audio, just ran MultiBeast 7.3 to update the drivers, using the same settings as before (though it said TRIM enabler was no longer available and a different version of Chimera would be used).

After finishing MultiBeast and rebooting, the system would freeze after about 2 mins of usage. Possibly network-related? Though I tried the other network jack and got the same result.

I booted and ran MultiBeast 7.2 with the same settings as before except for I manually unchecked the TRIM enabler, and now everything's working fine. (At least, it's been cruising for a good 15 minutes, much better than before!) So I'm not sure exactly what the problem was but it seems to be something included with MultiBeast 7.3.

After seeing a few people say their audio worked without intervention, I'm feeling dumb for not trying it before running MultiBeast again in the first place, but oh well.

Flawless update from App Store. No issues. Using latest Clover.

Lost Wi-Fi here. Using Clover. Had to reinstall audio using Multicast 6.0.1 and Trim support using the terminal command.

Not asking for assistance just giving you All the heads up. It could be my card but seems suspicious with the update.

Resolved - Tried restarting and simple troubleshooting several time no good. Then Shutdown and Wi-Fi was back after booting up.

Hello! I am new here, I've got my Probook up and running without any problems for a month or so. This is thanks to all your excellent posts and efforts, thanks for that! I am just wondering to your post: why would you install mentioned .kext patches manually from github, instead of using the Probook installer? I am using the BCM94352 as well. Thanks!

Battery problem resolved: just run MultiBeast 7.3 with the option:
- EasyBeast
- VoodooHDA.kext v2.8.7
- Enables HDMI audio on HD 3000/4000
- PS2 Keyboard/Mice
- USB 3.0 - Universal
- Sandy Bridge i7
- MacBook Pro 8,1

After from terminal:
sudo diskutil repairPermissions /
sudo trimforce enable
