No Sound - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Clue: Internal Speakers does not appear
means no switching, Front Panel is not working
means Front Panel hardware problem, green connector has failed
Front Panel mutes motherboard audio

Okay... So the hardware works fine in Windows 10 and 7... but on OS X the "Green on the motherboard" does not.

The case I'm using is the Corsair 400C if connected to the Motherboard had a headphone jack that works like a charm. Connected via HD AUDIO on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Hi, My mac yosemati does not show device for audio as internal speakers. I did checkmark on ALC 898. My motherboard is Gigabyte Z77x 5th.

I first wanted to say thanks for everything you guys are doing. I've been using a hackintosh for several years now so I definitely owe you guys a donation (I'll make one today). I recently reinstalled El Capitan and now I can't get my audio working. I think I have everything else working. I get no sound and there are no audio devices. I have my speakers plugged into the green port of GA-Z77X-UD3H. It used to work there. I *think* I had a universal installed before but I honestly can't remember. I've tried installing most of the audio drivers one at a time (after removing the previously installed kext) but to no avail. Please advise. What other information can I provide?

Amp problem, nothing wrong with AppleHDA.
What did you set 'Gain Boost' selector switches to?
