Thanks for your reply, Toleda. Here's how audio is working today as I recently booted my computer after I shut it down yesterday.

(See attachments)

Is it normal for audio to come out of the Subwoofer output on my motherboard? Does this mean I only have Stereo audio from my system?

Thanks again.

Here's how audio is working today as I recently booted my computer after I shut it down yesterday.
Installation failure, pin configs are not correct.
Attach realtekALC.kext from:
L/E/
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Hmmm. Well, this is interesting. It turns out, I don't have realtekALC.kext installed in:
S/L/E/
HDD/L/E
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Actually, I don't have any kexts at all in:
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

I think I provably need to run MultiBeast again, but I'm gonna wait until you say something.

Your help is very appreciated.

Running MultiBeast again seem to have worked. I now have audio coming out of the green output on my mobo and the front headphone output, and it is recognized as "built in audio" and "headphones" respectively in system preferences.

Thank you very much, Toleda.

Cheers.

Hi Toleda,

I lost audio updating from 10.10.3 to 10.10.5

This happens every time I update and I'm still uncertain what fixes it but you've always been able to help.

In addition to attached info:

Speakers and/or microphone

  1. Make and model - Bose Companion 20
  2. Audio port connected (color, motherboard or case) - green port, motherboard
  3. Selection in System Preferences/Sound/Output or Input - outputs not available

Thanks again,
John
