No Sound - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

No audio (sometimes) please help:

1. Audio stops working during use randomly after a few hours (not sleeping or anything just mid use like while watching a youtube video) outputs and everything are still visible in audio preferences but the system produces no sound. Rebooting enables the audio to work again. (Also a possibly related issue is the audio pops after there has been no sound made for a while)

2. OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 / Z87X-UD7 TH / Bios version F4 / Intel i7 4770K / Dual GTX 780’s

3. Multibeast 7.2 ALC898 with Optional EFI Installed Bootloader Support

4. IOReg and IOJones - Attached

5. AppleHDA - Attached

6. None

7. Console Sound Assertions - Attached

8. System Information and System Preferences screen shots - Attached

9. None

10. Clover config.plist and Boot Log - Attached

11. Creative Inspire T12 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System / Green Port / Internal Speakers (Built-in)

Z87N Audio Output, No Sound

Hello, I am a pretty huge noob when it comes to all this; luckily following the installation guide was pretty straightforward so thanks. I think the problems lies in that I installed 2 different audio drivers in my attempt to find the right one, but I don't know how to remove/fix this. Anyhow Ill do my best to follow the Guide's instructions.

  1. My audio outputs appear, but no sound is playing in iTunes or Youtube. Volume buttons on keyboard are working. I believe I installed 2 different drivers, although ALC 892 seems to be correct if I am not mistaken. There are also 2 regular outputs when there should be just 1 (There is also the optical which should be there)
  2. Yosemite 10.10.3/Gigabyte Z87N/Bios Rev 1.0/4670/Nvidia 780
  3. Procedure/Guide Used
    1. Terminal Saved Output (if Terminal script run)
      1. realtekALC via chimera 4

  4. Attached Iojones
  5. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext (This is here)
  6. Don't know how to use Kexts
  7. Cant find any
  8. Screen shots:

    2. System Preferences/Sound/Output

PS> Noob questions. I should never use apple update? And also the wifi will never work on this built in board correct?

During last 10 days I checked supposed solution for dual boot problem win-mac and Realtek audio. I can confirm that solution is uninstalling Realtek drivers from Windows. You must use the Windows audio drivers. Tested and work, in any situation switching systems.

What is the best way to do this?

Audio stops working during use randomly after a few hours
Audio works and then stops is not a No Sound problem. Off topic.
System specific problem, something is causing an coreaudiod audio overload. Killing coreaudiod/switching audio devices restores audio. The only known fix is digital audio.

There are also 2 regular outputs when there should be just 1 <key>HDEFLayoutID</key>
<string>02000000</string>
Why should there be 1 regular output?
Use HDEFLayoutID=01000000 for your motherboard.

I ran the SH file. Here is the output. Rebooting ....
Fail.
audio_realtekALC-100.sh is not available from the linked repo, why?
Small hope for recovery without reinstall; try
Rename Desktop/audio_ALC1150-10.10.3/AppleHDA-orig.kext to Desktop/AppleHDA.kext
Use KextBeast or other kext installer to install Desktop/AppleHDA.kext
Download toleda/audio_CloverALC/config-audio_cloverALC-x99.plist.zip
Copy and paste x99 patch to EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

plist, got overwritten. Re-patching .. I think I got it!!

So, if I add the 99 tweaks to the plist (in addition to the ones that get the device to show in sysprefs ), the sysprefs is missing the device outputs.

If I ONLY put the tweaks from the -99 plist, no devices in sysprefs.

lost now.
