IOReg shows audio is configured properly and working.
IOReg also shows Digital Output/Optical is selected and no audio is playing; is that how you verify sound?

Guess your missing the clover plist thing?

File still missing and screenshot is wrong.
Make all the files during the same boot, move to a folder and attach.

Attached are 2 IOReg files with audio playing and set to Line-In/Out 1 and 2.

Submit screenshots of System Preferences/Sound/Output and About this Mac/System Report.../Audio

You have confirmed user error; guaranteed no sound with any configuration noted.

no problems getting sound out of Windows

Windows audio has no relevance to OS X audio.
In OS X, what audio port (color) are the speakers connected to?
