No Sound - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Status
Not open for further replies.
AppleHDA.kext missing

config.plist is a big problem, lucky the system runs, most selections do not apply.
Edit CLOVER/config.plist/....

Learning as I go along. I originally installed with Yosemite with Multibeast but installed Clover in an effort to follow the instructions on the opening page of this long thread (not understanding that it changed the bootloader). Removed clover to get the system running again.

Files attached include the AppleHDA.kext
not included config.plist

Yosemite 10.10.4/ GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3// Intel i5/Intel 3000 graphics
Installed using Multibeast ALC889 selected
IO-reg output attached
DPCI manager won’t launch - sorry

HDMI audio codec(s)
Intel: 0x80862805

Onboard audio codec
Realtek: 0x10ec0889
Name: Realtek ALC889
Audio ID: 1

Valid audio codec, audio device and Audio ID; audio injection is working
Finished

Speakers are Altec Lansing - powered and tested on iPhone
Connected to green jack on the back of the motherboard
Selected Internal Speakers in the Sound control panel

Audio input from USB microphone works fine.

Description of audio problem
The output sound worked from the first installation but not microphone. Everything works on Windows.

PC
OS Version: OS X 10.12.6
Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming M7 (MS-7A57)
BIOS: E7A57IMS.140
Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K
Graphics: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X

Procedure / Guide Used
Tried to use AppleALC, and CloverALC (with clean up of previous way).
Find out that there is some AppleALC.kext in /System/Library/Extensions. Tried to remove it and try AppleALC / CloverALC guide with cleanup - lead to no device. So I cleaned up from these guides and returned the AppleALC originally found back - output appeared, input doesn’t.
Tried different Audio IDs 1, 2, 3, 11 via Clover, didn’t help.
Tried Quick Fix: 200 Series/Kaby Lake Audio solution #1 - output disappeared, removed it.
Tried different ports / different selection of input devices / output devices - output works, input doesn't.

Headphones
  1. SteelSeries Siberia 200 (2 connectors x 3pin)
  2. Front panel: pink to pink, green to green
Mobo: green to line out, pink to line in or mic
  3. All possible selections

Tried clean install. Used AppleALC guide. Tried different Audio IDs (1, 2, 5, 7, 11 and even 3). There is sound, but microphone doesn't work (of course all possible valid connections).

Tried clean install
Same problem; boot log, ioreg, AppleHDA missing.
Installed a bunch of kexts, incompatible with your motherboard; remove
Use Audio ID: 1 for your motherboard and audio support on this thread, otherwise, post to IM/AppleALC thread.

How? Adapter?
See Post #1/Problem Reporting; attach all requested files

The speakers plug into the line-out on the motherboard and are amplified. I tested the speakers by plugging into my iphone and playing itunes. The speakers are working fine.

You plugged the speakers into your phone, yes? 3 pin speakers into 4 pin jack?

Changed Audio ID to 1. Attached the requested files.
What are incompatible kexts I have? Do you think removing these files may help in my case?
What is IM/AppleALC?
P.S.: Thank you! I appreciate your help!

Removed IntelMausiEthernet, RealtekRTL8111, WhateverGreen. It hasn't changed anything to sound/mic.
Attached the current kexts in clover.
