No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Works on my gigabyte H170 gaming 3

I'm a noob. Finally realized I needed to install SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-1.aml before audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0f3.command.

I did this off a clean install using unibeast and multibeast. Thank you!

One thing, I notice that in the pdf guide of how to restore the native applehda, in the last part (D), if I follow the Terminal Way, in the point 1 it say to remove the AppleHDA file and in the 2nd point it copy the deleted files in the same directory. I think it is wrong, and you must copy not the deleted file but the AppleHDA file that you saved in the native_applehda folder. So update the guide for future readers.

My mistake, should be:
sudo cp -R /Desktop/native_applehdaAppleHDA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext

I guess I didn't even post the original troubleshoot in the right section, my apologies for the unnecessary confusion. So, I post it here.

Voodoo installed, AppleHDA support only. Off topic.

OK, so I cleaned the system of VoodooHDA, and followed the guide, but without any more success.

   • No audio device in System preferences / Audio. No audio output whatsoever. All since last El Capitan major update.

Description of audio problem:
Hello, the problem I am experiencing is that my Audio does not seem to work at all.
Whenever I try to view my sound settings, it says that no output devices are found.

I originally tried to fix it with voodooHDA but that didn't seem to work so I removed all that stuff and have been trying numerous things from then on. After that I figured maybe my kexts were so messed up with different patches that I should reinstall the OS and make a backup of the original AppleHDA kext (so the one I got after reinstalling Sierra again.)
