Creative Technology codecs are not supported with this thread.
When the downgrade BIOS is done, will the audio will work on at the same time? Or will it need some configuration?

Any help appreciated!

Hi Toleda,
Sorry for posting in the wrong thread yesterday.

I too am having problems with my audio after upgrading from El Capitan to macOS 10.12.1 Sierra.
1. I don't get any error message, just the volume control at the top of the screen is grayed out.
2. Asus P8Z77-V LE Plus MB bios 0910 05/04/2014. My CPU is:i7 3770k. My graphics card is a Nvidia Ge210
3. I used the UniBeast: Install macOS Sierra on Any Supported Intel-Based PC as the guide. On Step 5 in used the latest version of MultiBeast 9.01. I believe I have an ALC889.
4. Attached - I added the .txt extension in order to upload the file

Not sure what other information you might need. On a side note, I have two monitor plugged into my graphics card. One using the DVI port NEC 2EN33 and an LG monitor plugged into the HDMI port - The NEC monitor works but the monitor plugged into the HDMI port does not. When I had El Capitan installed, this configuration worked fine with both monitors working simultaneously. While I would like to get those two working together, I primarily want to get the audio working.

Thanks in advance. Let me know if additional information is required.

used the latest version of MultiBeast 9.01
Attached files show MultiBeast installed to a different EFI partition than EFI partition Clover boots.
Mount the correct EFI partition and run MultiBeast again.

I know this is a dumb question, but how do I mount the correct EFI partition? When I run Multibeast, I install it on my Sierra drive (or so I think). Do I use Clover Configurator to mount the correct EFI partition? Again, thank you in advance and thank you for responding to my initial question so fast.

MultiBeast ran successfully
No codec, no audio until Codec Id shows up in DPCIManger.
Verify BIOS/.../HD Audio/Enabled
Hi Toleda,

Thank you for your response. I went through my BIOS from top to bottom, and the only setting I could find relating to audio is:

BIOS/Chipset/Audio Controller/Enabled.

Is there possibly a different setting, named something else, that I could be missing?

Thanks again!

EDIT: I know it's a different workaround, but I managed to get nice, clean audio working by installing VoodooHDA 2.8.9 and this Sierra compatible VoodooHDA.Prefpane

Do you just put this in S/L/E or where? Thanks a lot!

PS: Went to the original website of the developer and downloaded it from there. Installed it, no luck whatsoever. Everything looks good, but I still get no input nor output devices. :(
