So I finally got my audio to work when updated to Sierra + running toleda's new script. (thanks A LOT for that...) With ElCapitan I basically gave up fixing sound.. So now running sierra 10.12.1, I have multiple output devices and also 2 input (all in order I guess).

Then I went on to fix a new problem that occurred after the Sierra update - USB ports not working (hdds and usb hub actually work on only 1 port, while my usb flash drives work on any ports - o_O crazy but whatevs, it's not the issue for this post).

So now it seems I somehow messed up the sound, as no sound is playing. I still have audio devices, both input/output, just no sound.

Tried every 3.5mm jack, also doublechecked mute/unmute and also my speakers are working properly.

UPDATE: Restarted Mac to see BIOS version and now it's showing no audio devices again! :(

UPDATE #2: Used toleda's script again and now showing audio dev (again), but still no sound.

Creative Technology codecs are not supported with this thread.

Not sure I understand what you mean :(
anything I could try doing to actually hear sound instead of just having devices set up?

IOReg does not show any onboard audio devices.

not sure why, but sometimes I when turn on my hack, audio devices are gone.

then I use your script again and the devices are there. When I updated to 10.12.1 I had both devices and sound coming out.
but now only devices show, no sound coming through..

attached are updated screens of dcpi and sysinfo, also new i/oreg
