No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

replacing "3D70A1" with "3D48A3" (Coffee Lake B/H/Q method, IX.1.4)
Only patch that applies to your system, ignore the other patch
fakePCIID.kext and/or FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext had caused KP on boot
User error, restore native kexts
Implements the correct patch without config.plist entry

The problem as I can see, is that I don't have HDEF, but HDAS
IOReg shows CAVS, not HDAS
Remove CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-2.aml (not correct for your system)
Remove config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Item 3 (Rename ALZA to HDEF)

Install a or b, not both
a. CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-1.aml
b. edit config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Item 3/Disabled/NO (CAVS -> HDEF)

Run MultiBeast/ALC1220
Restart, reply with new files

Morning Toleda,

Worked a charm. I used the DSDT patch (CAVS -> HDEF) and Multibeast. Here is the IOReg if you want it.

Is there a way I can remove the extra crap showing up under my audio devices? Adobe Encore 6.0 and the two NoMachine ones?

Thanks for all your help. All the best!

What app did you use to install kexts?
Try KextBeast > /L/E/

Understood.

I was manually placing the kexts in L/E/. Removed kexts, reinstalled using KextBeast to L/E/.

Hello!

Introduction:

1. Description of Audio Problem

More context: Did one macOS install; had no audio. Attempted to follow guides to remove prior attempts and couldn't quite trace them. Decided to format and do clean macOS install. Ran Multibeast with no audio, boot from internal drive, installed 100/200/300 series audio. Restarted. Installed ALC1220 driver. Build. Restarted. Still no audio devices (Input or Output) appearing in System Preferences.
