More context: Did one macOS install; had no audio. Attempted to follow guides to remove prior attempts and couldn't quite trace them. Decided to format and do clean macOS install. Ran Multibeast with no audio, boot from internal drive, installed 100/200/300 series audio. Restarted. Installed ALC1220 driver. Build. Restarted. Still no audio devices (Input or Output) appearing in System Preferences.

I has using pacific to extract the AppleHDA from unibeast usb, and by using kextbeast to install to /system/library/extensions

  1. Description of audio problem
    1. After upgrading from 10.9.6 to 10.13.6 audio worked. On successive startups audio worked less and less frequently, and almost never works on startup now. I found it worked more often with TRIM support disabled. In 10.9 I used ALC892, but have attempted to use ALC1220 under 10.13.

FakePCIID is not working: remove both FakePCIID kexts, download new kexts, install with KextBeast
Restart and reply with new files

Did as you said. Removed non-working FakePCIID kexts, downloaded new ones, and reinstalled using Kextbeast. New files are attached.

In 10.9 I used ALC892, but have attempted to use ALC1220 under 10.13.
That's interesting, where did you get the 1220? Special tools and skills required to unsolder the 892 and solder the 1220; voids the warranty.
Run MultiBeast > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC892 (only selection)
Restart and reply with new files

remove config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 1 (Unsupported_Audio_Device_ID_Coffee_Lake)
Save

Rebuild kext cache, Terminal:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Restart, reply with Terminal output from above) and new files

Correct. I was going off of the old buyer's guide without realizing the information changed. My bad.
