Greetings.
I am attempting to install Mavericks on an Asus X200CA netbook. It has the dreaded/troublesome UEFI so I was following the tonymac "How to Install OS X Mavericks using Clover".
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-how-install-os-x-mavericks-using-clover.html
It was going well, until I tried to do "STEP 4: Post-Installation". When I typed into Terminal: "sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI -F 32 /dev/rdisk0s1", then my password, I get back "newfs_msdos: EFI: unknown standard format".
Any ideas?
The instructions recommends formatting the EFI partition into FAT, but, of course, the EFI partition doesn't show up in Disk Utility, so there's no way to do it there. How is this done using Terminal?
This netbook has the American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI) Aptio UEFI bios.
