Stupid me:

installed AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and VoodooPS2Controller.kext but forgot to remove ApplePS2Controller.kext
Restartet and stuck with no working mouse or keyboard.

Booted from USB-Stick and removed the ApplePS2Controller.kext > rebooted

Still no Mouse or Keys.

Thanks a lot, really!

When you remove kexts by hand, you usually have to invalidate the kernel cache with:

Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

Otherwise, you can boot with "-f" (ignores kernel cache).

Booted form USB-Stick:
sudo....command not found

-f did not work either.

Thanks

You don't need sudo when you boot in single user mode (like from USB stick).
Maybe boot in safe mode, so you can go back/retry (safe mode is -x).

Thanks, but
-x and safe-mode showed up and same problem.

touch: /System/Library/Extensions: Read-only file system

When you boot from USB, you install volume is not going to be root.
It is going to be somewhere under /Volumes/

SleepPressTime is not working for me. The fn+fkey swap is working, no need to hit fn for the special functions to work, but when I hit F1/sleep it goes to sleep immediately. I have verified that SleepPressTime is set to default 3000. As expected fn+F1 does nothing.

I made sure ApplePS2Controller.kext was removed (removed it last time before installing your previous version), and installed both VoodooPS2Controller.kext and AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext via Kext Wizard then repaired permissions and rebuilt cache (again through Kext Wizard), then rebooted. I then rebooted again after finding the fault, and it still does it.

Went into /Volumes/ and used touch System/Library/Extensions > no error after executing

Still not working.

I really need your help. Don't want to install anything again.

Got some commands for the Terminal i can use to get it to work?
Got a Backup of those to AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and VoodooPS2Controller.kext
but not the ApplePS2Controller.kext

@RehabMan

can you help me on getting my alps touchpad v3 on my dell inspiron n5110 to work :) ?

I can confirm this. Multimedia keys are working delightfully without the need for Fn but the F1 key makes it go immediately to sleep.

I'll look at it when I get home. Maybe I screwed up something at the last minute before release. It happens...
