I think you have suffered from so much bad advice. If your ProTools needs to run on Lion, then that surly is your priority.
- UniBeast 1.4?
- EVGA GTX 770 - Requires a minimum of 10.8.5 to work - 10.9 is better
- X79 I think needs to run on 10.8, it might just run on 10.7.5
I suggest that you have a clear think about priorities and come to a decision about how to move forward.

Ok so I will use unibeast 3.1 and go for it with ML again.
Same problems with both Lion and ML though.
When the "chimera" boot screen comes up, its a picture of a tomato on top and the "apple" for osx on the bottom of the screen. The tutorials have a picture of a cartoon "USB with eyes" on the top of the screen with the apple logo on the bottom. That alone is confusing me..
I tried all of the recommended boot flags in the guide as well as different combos of all of them.
Is there a way to pop that mack kernal kext (what ever you call it) into my USB drive and possible put a driver for the GTX 770 on there as well. Will that help?
Sorry I am such a newb I really am spending time researching all this and your time and response is appreciated!
