ML: Native Ivy Bridge CPU and GPU Power Management

I also have 10.8.2 (12C3104) and what I thought was working IB CPU & GPU PM, with your help toleda (see Post #93). My MSRDumper outputs are comparable with yours and my IOReg looks the same as your pictures in #1. So can you tell me please how I can see if I am not achieving max AGPM HD4000 graphics clock?

Unless I am mistaken, Post #1 should now say 12C3104 is working too, on 10.8.2.

Thanks.

Your IB CPU PM is correct, however, your IB GPU PM solution is not correct. Without a GTX 570 HD installed, you do not need Vendor10deDevice1086 in your AGPM plist. OS X names HD4000 as IGPU; your dsdt names HD4000 as GFX0. As described in Post #1 of this thread, edit AGPM IGPU for GFXO or make the HDMI audio dsdt edits to rename dsdt/GFX0 to dsdt/IGPU. The max-power value is available in your IOReg at GFX0@2/AppleIntelFramebuffer@0/AGPM. It currently shows 10 instead of 11 in AGPM/macmini6,2/IGPU.

There is no reason to install 12C3104 on non native hardware.

It means you can't get the max HD4000 graphics clock either.

Toleda, maybe you missed my post: how can I check that?

EDIT: Ok, I got that. Thanks.

Hi there
Had this problem every start
WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a power management may be incomplete or unsupported
done file: /var/run/systemkeychaincheck.done
WARNING Found KDC certificate (O=System Identity,CN=com.apple.kerberos.kdc)is missing the PK-INIT KDC EKU, this is bad for interoperability.
The IOUSBFamily did not receive enough extra current for the SuperSpeed device (4-Port USB 3.0 Hub) at 0x14b00000, asked for 400mA but got 0 mA
Then system working well

How did you miss Post #1?

I am currently using the SSDT generated by ssDTPRGen. I am also using a MBP 9,2 SMBios, however, I am still getting this error "WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a ...". I also get only 2 states when I use MSRDumper. I am currently using Clover with this config:

Went to 10.8.3 today and everything still seems to be working fine as far as PM goes. A bit off topic but i was expecting my "about this mac" to show mac mini late 2012 after the update but it still shows mid 2011. // confused....

i have what should be proper smbios entries that include (of course) board id, system id and smbios version. could be a the serial number? that would be weird...

- Fresh 10.8.3 install
- changed SysDef into MacMini 6,2, and NO NEED ssdt anymore:

intel core i7 3770T
MSRDumper
Code:
Mar 15 15:20:33 localhost kernel[0]: MSRDumper CoreMulti(16)
Mar 15 15:20:33 localhost kernel[0]: MSRDumper PStatesReached: 16 17 21 25 31 32 33 34 35 38 40
