Very nice and very professional. Awesome and inspiring. Thanks for posting this. Doing it "DIY" is always the best way to go. Sweet!

Thanks for the praise! It was a lot of work.

Dear MacTester,
It is not only praise you deserve, it is also pride!
Your work is very beautifull, the iMac is awesome, the Cube is utterly fantastic!
I do not like the G5 in general, but your first mod that you call "Nothing spectacular" is an example of simplicity and elegance.
Your 'original mods' (non Mac-Mini & Mac Audio) look very B&O!
Great work.

You are an inspiration. Some of these builds I have wanted to make myself but I developed over the years an aversion to plastic. If some enterprising soul would make aluminium shells for the iMac G4 and the Power Mac G4 cube, the temptation to have a go would become almost irresistible. Still gorgeous work, thank you for sharing your labours of love. :)

Some serious machining skills there Sir!! I doff my cap to you !!!

(As a former engineer and CNC machinist)

I know from experience it is not easy to make aluminium look as good as Apple manage but it certainly looks as though you've done it!

The PC modding fraternity has a lot to teach Hackintosher's because they have so much more experience of getting seriously creative.

But as always with any Apple Mac project, less is more and your work certainly illustrates that well.

Thanks again for all the kind words!

Consider, that my occupation is "Automationsfachmann" (Automation Specialist). Some machining and electronics skills are essential here...

Good Hacking

Exceptionally good.....and so far the best Machining I've ever seen

Thanks. The Machining is nothing spectacular, see above.

Fantastic mod show Mactester!

Love your work keep it going!

Rick,

Thanks, Rick! Do you already now, what you will do with your 15" iMac G4?

Hey MacTester,

Nothing really to add that hasn't already been said regarding praise for your work. I noticed in your Cube picture you have a Cinema Display. Is that the mini DP verison or the Thunderbolt version? How do you have it connected to your Cube? Are you able to use the camera/speakers? Thanks in advance!
