I had this issue updating 10.13.4 to 10.13.6...I couldn't find anything on this forum that would help so I had to work to look elsewhere. These instructions should help you.
Not Working. Please help
successfully updated, all who have not earned nvidia drivers - open the Terminal and enter
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update/master/nvidia-update.sh)
Then reboot!
Thats amazing you were able to update from High Sierra 10.13.6! I just download it and will update one of my secondary OS X SSDs and see if it goes well.Updated the second it appeared for me on App Store.

- Outcome of the installation/update: SUCCESSFUL
- macOS version prior update: macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra
- Clover version: Clover r4674
- Time for update: 40 minutes
- Additional notes: I think it restarted 3 times. If you get a kernel panic on reboot, select "FileVault Prebooter From Preboot".
Ensure that you have Mojave downloaded to your hard drive using the App Store before you attempt the steps. Thanks!
So I tried the steps you linked, this shows "No Updates are available" in the Terminal.
At one point before doing this I tried to update through the install tool downloaded from the AppStore and It rebooted showed for half a second that Mojave was installing and again gave me that same error as before :"mac os could not be installed installer resources not found"
This doesn't make any sense why this is happening. I did go ahead and convert the "Data" Drive to APFS from HFS, and updated Clover on the new build SSD. That now shows a blank screen when I try to boot, the only way to get into the new build or the old one is to hit F12 upon boot select the OLD drive and then older Clover comes up and I can boot into either one. I can deal with this part later, I just want to install Mojave!!
