Hello good people,
I am running 10.6.6 on an i7 920/ga-ex58-ud5/nvidiaGTX260 etc.
It is working great, but software forces me to update to 10.6.8, othervise I'd never touch it.
I have a DSDT and following kexts in my S/E/E:
ALC889a.kext
EvOreboot.kext
fakesmc.kext
IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext
LegacyHDA.kext
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
OpenHaltRestart.kext
PlatformUUID.kext
RealtekR1000SL.kext
This all boots via Chameleon v2.0.0 RC5
I once knew few things about hackintoshes but compulsively forgot once everything started working. So I am totally rusty.
What is the best/safest way to do the update to 10.6.8?
Kexts?
Should I go for Lion? Maybe a fresh Lion install?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
