I am eagerly waiting a solution as well. I have my 950 Pro and a GA-Z170-UD5 TH. I can boot into the installer but can't see the 950.

I have an old motherboard which doesn't have this new interface, so I was wondering if anyone has tried the drive using an adapter such as this which makes it PCIe 3.0 x4:

I'm dying to buy one of these drives as soon as I see any evidence it works.

Don't bother, PCIe 3.0 x4 installed in PCIe 2.0 motherboard makes PCIe 2.0.

Whoops. Thanks for pointing that out. I mis-remembered it to be 3.0.

But even at 2.0 wouldn't it be faster than SATAIII? If so, it's only $15-$20 for the adapter. The expensive drive would continue to be useful going forward whenever I upgrade my motherboard. So it might still be worth it for now.

I am also interested to know if somebody is successfully using the Lycom DT120 with SM951 or 950 Pro (not sure if this last one fits the DT120 however). I have an Asus Z97 Pro mobo with 2x M.2, and the Lycom would obviously help with its 4x spec.

It seems people are successfully using the DT120 + SM951 combo in (non-cylindrical) MPs, so I guess there's hope at least
