Well As I am really new to this and I have used the ready made clover configuration, I don't know what plists are and how they work. Till Now I have got that kext are kernel extensions and are analogous to modules in linux kernel, DSDT is laptop specification and we need to change it to fake the Mac OS that we are running mac os on original Apple hardware. We can either make changes into the clover or DSDT to make things work.
Can you give me some guide explaining the things how mac os internals work? As I am familiar with linux kernel working and things goes good if you know what you are doing.
And I am not able to install clover bootloader on efi partition. Currently I have installed grub in efi partition and whenever I have to boot into the Mac OS, I use clover from my pendrive only. Whenever I try to install UEFI based bootloader like clover or chameleon efi on the efi partition, It does not boots up and my laptop bios tell me no bootable device has been found. I had tried installing clover using Vietman Tool but that too didn't worked. Although once chameleon worked on legacy boot but then I was not able to use that clover configuration zip which I am using now.
Now I want to install backlight controller. I have read about editing DSDT using MaciASL. So which patch should I use on DSDT or does I have to use make any changes in clover configuration?
