Lenovo z510 Yosemite apple reboot

I have a lenovo z510 laptop and I'm trying to install Yosemite. I used unibeast to install Yosemite to a usb and I can get to chimera and click USB, but whenever I do it just flashes an apple logo and reboots. Please help.

8 gb DDR3
1TB HDD
15.6" 1366x768

Also, you have HD4600 mobile which is not directly supported. See Pike's blog for details: https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2014/09/10/experimental-bin-patch-for-hd4600-mobile-gt2/

I recommend you use Clover...

For using Clover, I suggest you read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-install-yosemite-hp-laptops-clover-uefi.html. Filter appropriately as some information is HP ProBook specific (omit HPFanReset.efi, most of the stuff in the ProBook Installer, for example).

Thanks for the reply. Ive seen that thread about patching the kernel before but I have no idea how. Im running ML on a virtual machine as my mac, so could you possibly post a link to a prepatched kernel? I appreciate the fast reply

It is completely described in the post, but as I said, I recommend Clover (the kernel is patched automatically with KernelPm option in config.plist).

UPDATE: I can't install with clover because Im not sure how to find the BaseSystem.dmg file mentioned in the clover install guide. It says its hidden but not how to find it. any help would be appreciated.

I did and it just stays on the copying installer files to disk step. how long is it supposed to say this for?

It takes a while. Have patience. Hopefully you're doing it on real hardware...
